SENTINEL® SPECTRUM® CHEWS

SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews (milbemycin oxime, lufenuron, and praziquantel) gives protection against 6 different parasites including tapeworms. 

SENTINEL SPECTRUM offers prevention of heartworms disease, while treating and controlling adult stages of tapeworms, hookworms, roundworms and whipworms. With lufenuron, SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews prevent flea eggs from hatching, therefore controlling the development of flea populations. SENTINEL SPECTRUM does all this with convenient and effective once-a-month dosing with a soft beef and bacon flavored chew dogs love. For more information see product label.

Indications:

SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews are indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis; for the prevention and control of flea populations (Ctenocephalides felis); and for the treatment and control of adult roundworm (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), adult hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum), adult whipworm (Trichuris vulpis), and adult tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis, Echinococcus multilocularis and Echinococcus granulosus) infections in dogs and puppies two pounds of body weight or greater and six weeks of age and older.

How is SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews(milbemycin oxime, lufenuron, and praziquantel) different from HEARTGARD^® Plus (ivermectin/pyrantel)?

Both products protect dogs against heartworms, roundworms, and hookworms, but SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews, with its unique combination of ingredients, protects against 3 additional common parasites that HEARTGARD^® Plus doesn’t: flea populations, whipworms, and tapeworms.

Dosage & Administration:

SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews should be administered orally, once every month, at the minimum dosage of 0.23 mg/lb (0.5 mg/kg) milbemycin oxime, 4.55 mg/lb (10 mg/kg) lufenuron, and 2.28 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) praziquantel. For heartworm prevention, give once monthly for at least 6 months after exposure to mosquitoes.
