Many dogs and cats with diabetes require regular insulin shots to control their disease. U-40 Insulin Syringes are designed specifically to make administering 20-unit doses or less of U-40 insulin comfortable and quick for pets -- and pet owners.

Understanding U-40 Insulin Syringes:

Your veterinarian will prescribe U-40 insulin for your pet. It is critical that you use the corresponding insulin syringe for proper dosing. While U-40 is often prescribed for cats and dogs, it’s important to know there are two types of syringes used for insulin injections. The U-40 syringe, which will always have a red cap and tends to be smaller in size, and the U-100 syringe, which has an orange cap and is a little larger in size.

After a thorough exam, he may prescribe regular insulin shots that require as specific type of syringe. U-40 Insulin Syringes are designed to administer the exact dose of U-40 insulin your pet needs. These precision-engineered syringes make administering daily insulin shots accurate, easy, and effective. The sterile, latex-free syringes feature a silicone coated barrel and tri-beveled tip for comfort.  Use these syringes only with U-40 insulin and discard used syringes – do not reuse.

What does the “U” mean?

“U”, on the syringe and insulin bottle, refers to units of active insulin.
